True, I missed that. I applied the debian packaging to the ubuntu package and kept the remaining call for intltool-update. and made a comparison between the extracted contents: Only change is:

Binary files 1/usr/share/doc/gnome-doc-utils/changelog.Debian.gz and 2/usr/share/doc/gnome-doc-utils/changelog.Debian.gz differ

So I guess that the intltool-update call isn't necessary anymore.

intltool-update -p creates a .pot file. That's nothing that concerns the end-user, but Launchpad extracts it during the build (from the source directory) so we can use it in Rosetta.

I'm afraid it needs to stay.

I'm attaching a debdiff for a merge, changing this report to a merge request so that we have the most recent packaging in ubuntu.

See the attached branch instead of the debdiff. gnome-doc-utils is maintained in bzr for ubuntu, linked branch is the working copy.

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-doc-utils - 0.16.1-1ubuntu1
