Sorry, but I don't get the point. How will this solve the problem of different md5sums of the two tarballs? I have:
7109f593dd9c25a 9ac89478dc83a84 21 DEBIAN/ texmaker_ 1.9.1.orig. tar.gz 915d3a300d8211d 44 UBUNTU/ texmaker_ 1.9.1.orig. tar.gz

so obviously they are different. Why not just keep the version that's already in Ubuntu (1.9.1-0ubuntu1)??
