Bug Description

regression: dvbscan from package dvb-apps in jaunty fails with given error. "scan" from dvb-utils in ubuntu intrepid works on same dvb-t receiver on same system (ubuntu jaunty).

dvbscan fails on maverick as well, compiling http://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/legacy/linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.1.tar.bz2 myself and using that version works just fine.

Confirm this is still broken in 10.04 Lucid, but that http://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/legacy/linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.1.tar.bz2 works.

(The error is "Unable to query frontend status" although /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 exists and "scan" in above tar works)

Maybe I'm missing something but "scan" which is available as part of dvb-apps works fine, "dvbscan" is a legacy application. Just use "scan".
