Bug Description

Binary package hint: taskjuggler

Hi,

Debian just released taskjuggler 2.4.3-1. Please merge it.
The following changes can be dropped:
- Recommend khelpcenter (LP: #238439) (adopted by Debian)
- Add kubuntu_01_no_kde_ical.diff, stop it failing to build (Adopted upstream)
- Drop kdepim3 support (adopted upstream)
- Compile without KDE support & debian/rules: compile again with kde support (Debian always compiled with kde support)

So no remaining changes from previous Ubuntu version.

A new change is mandatory to avoid a FTBFS, because the support of libarts has been dropped in Jaunty:
- Add --without-arts to configure call

why do you want to merge this if you say no remaining changes? plus why did you add that configure rule? it's not well documented. removing u-u-s as subscriber, gonna take care of this merge request.

Looks fine now. You see, documenting things clearly prevents me (and you) or any other sponsor to lose time finding why something got added in the meantime. Gonna process this tomorrow.

one more thing, looking at the upstream changelog I see these lines:

Disabled ical support by introducing the HAVE_ICAL switch in the code. The switch is not yet configure supported, but building with --with-kde-support should work now without failing on missing libical.

And looking at the Debian's package I don't see the --with-kde-support flag added. Is that ok?

Fabrice Coutadeur (fabricesp) wrote :

Hi,

This flag is defaulted to yes, as you can see in configure script:
  --with-kde-support={yes|no} Integrate KDE support default=yes

So it's ok.

Cheers,
Fabrice

sorry, why did you set the mail to "Ubuntu Developers <email address hidden>" and not the MOTU team like you alwais did? is there a specific reason?

plus it seems you forgot to add all Ubuntu's previous changelog's entry. (dapper one for example)

Hi,

As discussed in IRC, this email is the new email for maintainer (due to archive reorg).
About the changelog, all entries before 2.4.1-1 has been lost, as taskjuggler has been synced from Debian in Intrepid. Should really a merge get back all that old entries?

Cheers,
Fabrice

it seems the package FTBFS with Test Timezone.tjp failed! error. Actually it built fine on my pbuilder so maybe is a builder problem?

Hi,

My feeling is that it's linked to not having Internet connectivity in the builders. I'll check what is doing Timezone.tjp...

Hi,

It seems to be a known problem:
http://www.taskjuggler.org/FUDforum2/index.php?t=msg&goto=9534&rid=0&S=cc38c18d5e604d13c045cc19bc4ceba4 , linked to the timezone of the server.

It also appears in Redhat (F11), and this test has been disabled (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=506584). In the meantime, I'll do the same.

Ok, just post a diff when you've done. I can work on it too if you don't wanna fix it.
