Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
GDM 2.26 in Karmic depends on gnome-session which pulls in most of gnome which not only causes the Xubuntu CDs to be over sized but to set the default session to gnome.
GDM should be updated, as per discussion in #ubuntu-devel, to be depend on gnome-session-bin instead of gnome-session, metacity | x-window-manager, and should recommend gnome-settings-
