Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

Open Nautilus
Choose a dir
Change the view to list
press F5 or leave and rejoin the same folder:
result: it resets to Icon mode view.
Expected: to remember the mode

So, the gvfsd-metadata fix stops the desktop icon rearranging, but not the view mode change.

This bug was fixed in the package gvfs - 1.3.2-0ubuntu3

I am not able to reproduce this bug with an up to date karmic (Nautilus 2.28.0). Is anyone else still seing this?

Olá,

On my fresh Karmic amd64 installation including all updates to this day, it is still not fixed.
Nautilus is still not consistent in remembering the last selected view for every directory.

How can I still be experiencing this bug while it is marked as fixed?
Today again I installed all available updates, but no improvement here.
Folder view is not consistantly remembered and F5 always brings the folder back to 100% list view.
