Bug Description

Merb is a Ruby-based MVC framework for web application development.

URL: http://merbivore.com and http://github.com/wycats/merb (source)
License: Freely redistributable per LICENSE files in individual components.
Notes: It is required by Chef, which also needs to be packaged (haven't opened a bug yet, but soon). Of note, the following components of Merb are required by Chef (server portion only):

merb-core
merb-assets
merb-haml
merb-helpers
merb-slices

While features of Merb itself are being merged into Rails's 3.0 release, chef-server and chef-server-slice will continue to use Merb for the foreseeable future. I am currently working on packaging these components of Merb for inclusion in Karmic.

Thanks Nick. Mathias Gug had provided those links to me. I just uploaded the package to REVU.

Make as duplicate of bug 411536 because it's the same package.

The sync request from Debian should be marked as duplicate of this. Merb is a requirement of Chef, which I'm trying to get into Karmic before Feature Freeze. Merb is on REVU, was advocated but the AA rejected it. I fixed the issues that caused the rejection.

   * Initial release (LP: #404399)

     + Replaced upstream empty LICENSE file with MIT license
     + Removed object files which are part of the webrat spec testing.
