Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

I have the standard shape of GNOME which is a panel in the top and one in the bottom, when I resize a window it HOVER the panel causing the boundries of the window to be behind the panels.
This is a problem specially if you resize the TOP of the window and it's getting hided behind the top panel so you can't move or resize back the window. This should be limiting the mouse motion to not get over those panels just like when I drag window over the panels I get a boundries limit.
I can reproduce it with any window-based-re-sizable application like calculator.

Sounds like a window manager bug; I'm guessing you're seeing this on compiz (since I've seen similar behavior). If you're using metacity let us know so it can be refiled there.

No when I generated this BUG I was not using any desktop effects. it was just after installing ubuntu 9.04 and testing some features I noticed this bug, I mean it was a fresh installation without any edits.

In compiz at least this if fixed with http://git.compiz.org/compiz/core/commit/?h=compiz-0.8&id=0d23e499774769d295509f189fbf4b7c21763ef6 and will hopefully be in the next upload of compiz to karmic.

Actually, it looks like the clock shadow fix is the only other issue addressed by this version that's also not working.

As determined in the other bug mentioned the user did not actually have the updated version of the relevant packages yet. This bug really is fixed.
