Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-desktop

20090812 version of Xubuntu desktop cd in both i386 and amd64 have no audio.

Amixer complains that Cannot open shared library libasound_module_conf_pulse.so

Any pulseaudio tool simply don't open.

If you try running pulse directly you get the above error.

It looks like this is because libasound2-plugins is not included on the xubuntu desktop CDs, but something (libasound2?) is configured to use the pulseaudio plugin by default.
