Bug Description

Please sync lives (source package name) version 1.0.0-4 from Debian sid main.

In binary package lives Depends there's automake1.10, which only exists in Debian. automake can be substituted in Ubuntu. Do I need to create a whole seperate -<n>ubuntu<n> release for that?

Thanks

I think it had better sync this now, just before the Feature Freeze.

We will fix the FTBFS later.

Sync request ACK'd.

Alessio,

If the fix is already known then please just upload a package that
will not FTBFS.

Thanks,

James

Alessio,

This can be fixed by replacing automake1.10 with automake in debian/control. There's a debian/control avaliable at http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/collab-maint/deb-maint/lives/trunk/debian/control?revision=14107 that has this, although it also has a few other updates to the version in debian sid (main). Those are listed at http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/collab-maint/deb-maint/lives/trunk/debian/changelog?revision=14107 under lives 1.0.0-5 and the ones that apply to debian/control are as follows:

  * Added the right dependencies taken from the packaging notes
  * Replaced automake1.10 with automake
  * Made frei0r-plugins-dev and frei0r-plugins not for kfreebsd
  * Made libavc1394, libavc1394-dev, libraw1394 and libraw1394-dev not for
    kfreebsd

The updated package will be released into Debian sometime next week after upstream release the new upstream version.

The Feature Freeze is scheduled for this Thursday, we can't wait until the next week so I think it had better merge the current release available in debian sid.

James, if I merge and upload that, will there be any problem?

With "merge the current release" I mean merging "the current release with the changes already committed to Debain SVN".

Hi,

If you could wait around an hour, I've got a few dependencies I still need to add. I'll make sure they're in both Ubuntu and Debian though.

Okay. It doesn't take as long as it does for the ftp-master's approval in Debian does it (~3 weeks), as it will be *way* past the Feature Freeze then?
