blank icon in favorites category in karmic

nl-favorite-app.c should probably g_file_test the desktop file path in nl_favorite_app_new (), so it can return NULL if the desktop file doesn't exist.

nl-favorite-app should also monitor the .desktop file it's representing, and signal the view if the desktop file is deleted, so it disappears from the list (not sure if it should be removed from favorites at the same time...)

I think it is best to handle this is two separate merges. Will be implementing in this fashion.

Ok the currently linked branch will superficially fix this issue. Tracking should still be implemented but I am mentally lowering the priority of this bug as the primary issue is fixed at this point.

I reported the bug and I've still got my blank icon, I've got my eye on it
and will report back as soon as the corrected package hits me.

Initial part of this bug is fixed in trunk i.e. not showing blank icons. Jason is working on the rest.

My blank icon disappeared after installing updates today, huzzah and great work!
