Bug Description
The "Installed Software" section is long and not easy to browse through. It is not categorized, as "Get Free Software" is.

The categories are useful much more for finding new software to install, than for choosing software to remove. And it would encourage confusion if the layout of the main "Installed Software" screen was the same as that of the "Get Free Software" section: more people would think they were choosing software to install when they were not.
So the specification currently says <https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/SoftwareCen ter#%E2% 80%9CInstalled% 20Software% E2%80%9D% 20section> that the "Installed Software" section should be grouped by category, but with tree items in the single list, rather than the department-only display used by the "Get Free Software" section. Does that count as the "same categorising method" to you? If so, we could use this bug report to track implementation of that categorization. If not, I think this report should be marked Invalid.
