Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Evolution is not retrieving the birthdays, or other items on the personal information tab for contacts, when the address book source is Google contacts.
The entire personal information page of the contact is uneditable.

It is possible to edit birthdays and other items on the personal information tab on purely local contacts.
Google contacts has fields for most of the items on that page.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

I have the same problem. Im using evolution 2.30 from http://ppa.launchpad.net/jacob/evo230/ubuntu

But this bug does NOT seem to be solved in evolution 2.30?

I have now also tested evolution 2.30.3 in maverik and the bug is not fixed.

it would be nice if someone facing this issue could send this bug upstream. the linked upstream bug was a new feature which is implemented.

So, we need libgdata 0.7 in Ubuntu now as per comment #5

This bug has never been properly fixed and is still not fixed in the maverick packages even now.
