Karmic Alpha 6 Mytharchive Work Directory Empty.

Interesting. Is there an old database in use at all here? We do have a
patch in place that should have been setting this behavior properly. If
this is a fresh install (and fresh myth network), then it sounds like it
might be failing.

No this was a brand new clean install.
