Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release: 9.10

rhythmbox:
  Installed: 0.12.5-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.12.5-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 0.12.5-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Expected Behavior:
When clicking on Personal Radio in last.fm using Rhythmbox playback of this station should begin

Actual Behavior:
When clicking on Any Radio station in last.fm a codec request is made for a txt/html codec see attachment. After a search this codex is not found. This does not seem to cause problems with playback but other features as yet are untested.

Steps to reproduce:
Load rhythmbox
Enter last.fm account details (if required)
Choose Personal Radio (install codex for music playback)
Codex request for txt/html appears and can not be found.

Terminal output:
(rhythmbox:2858): RhythmDB-CRITICAL **: rhythmdb_entry_ref: assertion `entry != NULL' failed
Rhythmbox-Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer|0.10|rhythmbox|text/html decoder|decoder-text/html

This seems to happen with me when I select a song previously played. It may be something to do with the way that last.fm serves content as a radio thing with no control about going back, so this may be just a case of wallpapering over it.

I can confirm this, as it's happened to me also.

It seems to be when you've timed out an authorisation to last.fm, and therefore the URLs that it's trying to download are no longer valid, and therefore you get redirected (or shown) a 404 page. Rythmbox then tries to download this as a media file.

If last.fm is returning 404's, then rhythmbox should realise this. If it's not, then I can probably poke the devs as I know a couple of them and get them to potentially fix it their end

I get this error when trying to play the Last.fm personal radio songs in rhythmbox if I have my "System->Preferences->Network Proxy" setting set to "Automatic proxy configuration". If I change it to "Direct internet connection" and restart Rhythmbox playback works fine.
