Possibly an issue with xulrunner difference between what's installed with moblin remix and what ff3.5 needs?

Same as bug 460484 or vice versa.

It is a conflict between the versions of xulrunner installed by moblin-remix's browser and Firefox 3.5.x.
Renaming the xulrunner lib directory installed by moblin repository (/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2a1pre-headless) will result in proper execution of firefox, but will disable the moblin browser.
