The script in /etc/event.d does not work during install and later. I moved to /etc/init/svscan.conf it works manually but does not start service on boot.

I uploaded the fix to my PPA (sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mvo) - please let me know if it works as expected.

I have installed the PPA version and it looks that it works. At least it
installed cleanly but I am not sure if it starts the service properly.
I'll check it on next reboot and get back to you.
