Bug Description

Summary: A well known and understood bug that has yet to be fixed upstream. When using GTK with Xinerama and mapping the Wacom tablet to a single screen, all Wacom devices suffer from incorrect offsets between the cursor and the Wacom level input device. In short, while the Wacom device correctly uses the entire single screen desktop region, the underlying GTK insists that the tablet is still halved (or whatever screen to tablet ratio) between the two monitors.

Platform: Ubuntu 9.10 amd64

Frequency: Always ( 5 trials for 5 manifestations )

Seeing as to how long and well known this bug is and that a patch is available, is it not possible to get this issue fixed?

Could you try to get upstream review maybe by pinging on the bug or mailing their list?
We try to limit gtk change in the distribution while they are not accepted upstream usually

I've tried. Glacial movement.

I'm willing to test any patches you can provide, assuming I can have a non-intrusive method of testing them. A PPA package would be best.

Unfortunately, as I was trying out the patch, I wasn't able to get back to my original GTK. There are some cyclic included files in /usr/share/themes etc.

I applied this patch on my ubuntu 12.04 system, and it works for my 4-screen 2-gpu xinerama setup.
