Just a word to say the the 0.0.7beta on playdeb is sort of outdated. 0.0.10beta is out now:

I maintain a basic .deb, it might or not conform to Ubuntus requirements, at least it does install on a vanilla Debian testing (wheezy). The ./debian folder is present in upstream source tarball.
