Binary package hint: evolution

If you receive a meeting request and accept it you cannot go into your calendar and set an alarm.

How do you turn on an alarm for meeting request received via email?

If I understand this correctly, this is the same issue as upstream bug #594153 "setting alarms on meetings owned by others is prevented".

There is patch attached to that bug. AFAIK the upstream will not update 2.28, they moved to 2.30. May be Ubuntu will be willing to apply that patch to it's own packages?

Upstream bug comments this was tested on Ubuntu Lucid. Any chance of getting this added to a Lucid update and/or PPA?

This is a showstopper for migrating desktops in our exchange-based environment.

    - from upstream git, enable setting alarms on meeting and ungrouping
      those actions (LP: #528557)

TestCase:
- send an email appointment
- accept it
- go the calendar view and edit it
- see that you can add an alarm event and edit it
