I have found a workaround. I've linked to it in my bug.

Don't care, the (temporary, I hope) solution is adding a line to a config
file (I don't remember, I guess I'll look for it later).

For convenience's sake, the workaround mentioned in bug #519250 has you add the following line:
<code><dllmap dll="libgobject-2.0.dll" target="libgobject-2.0.so.0"/></code> to the top of /etc/mono/config.

Just to keep it in the family, here's the Ubuntu forums post with the fix: http://art.ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=8484358&postcount=18

I can confirm that on Ubuntu 9.10 ("Karmic") with tangerine version 0.3.2.2-1, this fixes the problem.

Er, I dunno why I thought that was going to work. Leave off the code tags in my previous post:

Add the line:

  <dllmap dll="libgobject-2.0.dll" target="libgobject-2.0.so.0"/>

somewhere between the opening and closing

  <configuration>

tags in /etc/mono/config.

Argh. See also: https://bugs.launchpad.net/malone/+bug/80895.

I'm struggling to reproduce this.

For those affected in Lucid, and definitely without that dodgy edit to /etc/mono/config:

* Which version of Banshee, if any, do you have installed?
* How are you sharing in tangerine-properties - e.g. sharing a folder, or from a library?
* Which CPU architecture are you running on?

Same error here:
No Banshee installed
Tangerine-properties will not open, but I had manually edited ~/.tangerine and tangerine has been working for quite a while - it is set to share a folder
CPU is Core2Duo running 32 bit

~/.tangerine:
[Tangerine]
name = marshall's Music
password_file = /home/marshall/.tangerine-passwd
debug = False
max_users = 0
log_file = /home/marshall/.tangerine-log
port = 0
publish = True
plugins = file,session
[FilePlugin]

Installing banshee helps to get rid of the error messages. But no files show up when I connect to this daap share on another machine?

I just tried the workaround as proposed by Kernst. Most errors remain, no music shared, although near the end of the error messages there's stated:

2010-12-18 02:56:38,460 INFO Adding songs in '/data/Muziek'
2010-12-18 02:56:40,132 INFO Finished adding songs

And that's indeed where my misic is stored. To investigate if the connection works, I added a password: the password is asked for on the client-side, so something must be working?
