Bug Description

Binary package hint: open-vm-tools

This is to request a FeatureFreezeException to merge open-vm-tools version 2010.02.23-236320-1 from Debian testing.

The kernel modules in the version of open-vm-tools currently in Lucid don't build against the Lucid kernel (bug #498677).

Merging the new version fixes this.

I've uploaded the merge to my PPA (https://launchpad.net/~broder/+archive/ubuntu-tests/) and verified that it works.

I'll attach the upstream changelog, PPA build log, and install logs in a moment.

For verification, I installed the open-vm-dkms from my PPA and verified that I was able to use vmhgfs.
