Binary package hint: network-manager

The Network-manager does not save the pin of the SIM-card in my UMTS-Stick to the keyring.
In karmic this was done automaticly, so this is a regression in lucid.

The system is a lucid netbook-remix.

What UMTS stick are you using?

Can you reproduce the problem in Ubuntu 12.04?

After reproducing it, please run "apport-collect 583491" to submit more information about the affected system.

I totally forgot this bug, but it turned out it's a feature. Unfortunately I can't set the bug status to "won't fix".

The problem is that Network-Manager can not see which sim card is in the device. So there is a risk to input the pin for another sim card, which results in looking the sim after some attempts. The only reverence I found quick is here (last paragraph):
