Bug Description

The default Eucalyptus installation uses an insecure EC2 API
endpoint. It would be better if the endpoint used HTTPS by default.
The lack of a secure endpoint cause problems for users trying to
register their clouds with Landscape, for example. There's a
workaround described here:

Re-setting importance to Medium, as there is currently a valid work around. However it is still important.

Dan/Dmitrii *says* that we should be able to talk SSL to these servers
and they should auto detect/auto negotiate encryption or
non-encryption.

Can you try this, Dave, and note here the effect?
