Bug Description
Caffeine is an application to pause powersaving features/
Such an application has many use cases, as right now, not many applications are capable of preventing power-saving features where needed, (like movie players)
In particular, I have found it's ability to override the system very useful when I required my laptop lid be down as I had connected the machine to another monitor.
It is open-source, and is on Launchpad:
