The following example will add the <emphasis>dyngoup.schema</emphasis>:

typo, it should be dyngroup.

sudo cp /etc/ldapscripts/ldapadduser.template.sample /etc/ldapscripts/ldapadduser.template

Currently, the ldapscripts package contains the template files under /usr/share/doc/ldapscripts/examples/ and not in /etc/ldapscripts

Notice the <emphasis>&lt;ask&gt;</emphasis> option used for the <emphasis>cn</emphasis> value. Using &lt;ask&gt; will configure <application>ldapadduser</application> to prompt you for the attribute value during user creation.

however, contains <ask> as the value of sn:, not cn:. Currently, the /usr/share/doc/ldapscripts/examples/ldapadduser.template.sample file does not contain an sn: line.
