ubuntu doesn't automatically set boot options

Bug Description
I need to boot with ide=nodma. The problem is that this option is not set automatically in my menu.lst. Nor is there an option to set it in the install process like there is with KateOS.
I think it would be good if the installcd checked whether any boot options where given and if yes, to ask about it when installing.

This issue was fixed in grub a while ago in the Hardy repositories. I am marking this bug now as invalid.
