Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
Using unity 0.2.12 in maverick, I've an "unity.png" image listed in the unity files place, typing until "unit" in the search entry doesn't list anything but the entry is listed once "unity" is entirely typed, shouldn't it list all the items matching the current string rather and filter out while you are typing rather?

I tend to agree, I definitely have the same gut reaction as you when typing.
Technical note: There are two possible solutions two this. 1) Always append a * at the end of the last word in the query (unless it's already there), or 2) using the PARTIAL search flag for Xapian. The latter is the "correct" one but may be tricky to get right in the current Unity architecture because it requires the search engine to know when the search is no longer "partial".
