Bug Description

Attempting to install to a btrfs partition from the live CD fails, because btrfs-tools is not installed on the live CD. We need to add this, although it's too late for Alpha 2 now.

Same here. Ubuntu told me that it is not possible to use btrfs as /boot. So I used ext4 for /boot and btrfs for /. This is where the installation failed.

Yeah you need ext4 for /boot still (dunno if that will change in the Maverick cycle), but other than that btrfs for / works fine now with today's daily ISO and therefore will work with alpha 3.

We're working on enhancing GRUB to permit btrfs on /boot, although
whether it will be available for Maverick is as yet uncertain.
