This package builds fine in Maverick, and I've tested its functionality. For reference, my PPA build of this version (no source changes) is here:

We passed feature freeze. You need a FFe [1] or you need to make sure that no new feature is introduces. Once a freeze exception is granted, please resubscribe ubuntu-sponsors.

Description:
    Multiple bug fixes and a few small feature enhancements are provided by this new version of fldigi, which is a ham radio digital-modes application.

Impact:
    This package is exclusively for ham radio use -- it has no impact on the overall distribution.

Rationale:
    Fldigi is one of the most popular ham radio packages. Ham users will appreciate having the latest fldigi in Maverick. This version might fix the two reported SEGV crash bugs in LP.

Testing:
  I have tested this version of fldigi, and had no problems whatsoever. Attached to this bug are:
  1. ChangeLog.diff (diff from 3.20.17-1, the current version in Maverick).
  2. fldigi-3-20-23.png (screenshot of new fldigi decoding a digital ham radio transmission)
  3. install.log (apt-get install log from my PPA build)
