Bug Description

Hi,

xmms2 doesn't build on Ubuntu's buildds (all archs), failing with :

[...]
Checking for sqlite3 ... yes
Checking for sin() in C library m... no
Aborting!
make: *** [clean1] Error 1
******************************************************************************
Build finished at 20060928-1351
FAILED [dpkg-buildpackage died]

(See http://librarian.launchpad.net/4537345/buildlog_ubuntu-edgy-i386.xmms2_0.2DrFeelgood-6_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz )

it builds fine locally and in Debian (package is unmodified).

erm, could it just be that the sin() module/component is missing from your C library.

What C/C++/C# compiler are you using, and what version please.

The poster isn't answering and there was a new package version since this reports, so I'm going to close it.

If this issue continues, don't hesitate re-opening it.

Reopening.

I didn't answer to Sam Cater's comment, since it was obvious that he didn't read the original report. The package built fine locally, but doesn't build on Ubuntu's buildds.

Also, RainCT, you could have checked that the issue was still here by looking at the build logs for this newer version. It still fails to build.

The current xmms2 builds now on Ubuntu's buildds (it doesn't use scons anymore).
xmms2 FTBFS on AMD64 due to a -fPIC issue but that's a different problem.
