Installer crash (2x) while installing Kubuntu 6.06 on Firelite 80GB USB-HDD

Bug Description

Kubuntu 6.06 installer crashed twice installing to 80GB Firelite USB-HDD. Earlier, Ubuntu 6.06 crashed three times during partitioning attempts. Feather 5.07b was successfully installed to this drive after the first Ubuntu install attempts and after first Kubuntu install attempt.

 Sorry, I should have removed that bug report. I am a noob of sorts on
Linux and had not yet learned that there are certain things that one
cannot do to a mounted drive (like partition it).

Following bug 89605, I made ubiquity able to unmount mounted partitions as necessary before committing partitioning. Based on your most recent comment, that should fix your bug.
