I confirm the crash. It appears when totem try to search for a missing plugin to play a video.

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-codec-install - 0.4.7ubuntu3

    - import defer instead of aptdaemon.defer (LP: #636486)
    - Add missing argument for commit_package().
