I downloaded the source from here http:// archive. ubuntu. com/ubuntu/ pool/universe/ g/gdecrypt/ gdecrypt_ 0.7.2.2- 0ubuntu5. dsc using dget. I attempted to build the source after correcting the typo in the control file (debuild -S), but there were some errors while running lintian and I'm not sure what went wrong. Here are the errors:
E: gdecrypt_ 0.7.2.2- 0ubuntu6_ source. changes: bad-ubuntu- distribution- in-changes- file maverick -version 3.9.0 (current is 3.8.4)
W: gdecrypt source: newer-standards
Can someone elaborate on the error messages?
Also do I have to apply the previous patches to the source prior to correcting the typo? I executed the what-patch command and the output was 'unknown patch system'.
