Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

The blacklist applied in compiz 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu6 is incorrectly blacklisting the bridge devices and preventing machines with a discreet GPU from using compiz when the intention was to just blacklist the intel GPU. We should remove the desktop, mobile and server bridge devices (0100, 0104, 0108 respectively) from the blacklist, otherwise compiz will not work on these machines.

$ compiz --replace
Blacklisted PCI ID 8086:0104 detected

Launching fallback window manager

$ lspci | grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Device (rev a2)

$ lspci -nn | grep 8086:0104
00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Sandy Bridge DRAM Controller [8086:0104] (rev 07)

    the blacklist, they were preventing compiz from loading on machines
    with discreet GPU's as well. (LP: #644372)

  * Adjust the sandybridge blacklist to match that in the latest compiz.
    (LP: #644372)
  * Ubiquity bootstrap: sync before reboots.
