Binary package hint: audacity

audacity has no keyboard shortcut for export. I often use audacity to crop and export, it would be useful to have a keyboard shortcut for exporting files.

If we want to use a CTRL-modified shortcut from any letters in the word "Export", they are all taken. Only two choices thus seem to be to use unmodified "E" for it, or CTRL + E and move "Zoom to Selection" to CTRL + SHIFT + E. Generally, unmodified shortcuts should be reserved for actions where timing or ease of use is critical, like Transport Shortcuts.

Presumably moving a zoom shortcut would not hurt VI users much, so there may be a weak case. Any other comments? If no support to change probably WONTFIX. Does the reporter know you can add bindings in the Keyboard Preferences?

Do you want to have a keyboard shortcut by default or is it enough to set it in the configuration?

Gaurav Agarwal suggests we use CTRL + SHIFT + E for the Export shortcut because this matches CTRL + SHIFT + I for Import Audio. This seems OK to me, even though it is slightly more of a handful.

If we are going to have an export shortcut it seems silly not to have one for export multiple. Most of the obvious CTRL + SHIFT combinations are taken, and CTRL + ALT + E usually types "é" on Windows, so I suggest CTRL + SHIFT + L as my best idea.

This bug is fixed in the upstream development branch and will be fixed in the next upstream release (2.0.3).
