Hi,

this is strange. I just installed Maverick (both i386 and amd64) in a VM and MonkeyStudio runs just fine.
However, the same bug was reported to me by upstream two days ago in private.
Just making sure: you are running a 10.10 which was upgraded from 10.04 and installed MonkeyStudio after the upgrade to 10.10? And you are running Ubuntu, not Kubuntu or Xubuntu?

Regards
Evgeni

TEST CASE:
1. Start Monkey Studio
2. Click "Project" → "New Project"
3. Select a Project (like QMake Qt Console) and click "Create"
4. Segfault (because it try to highlight the source via qscintilla)

FIX:
Like in Natty, no change rebuild fixes the issue.

Note that if you aren't a regular user of MonkeyStudio, you may need to change the path for the new project to complete verification without errors. I've uploaded a 1.8.4.0-1ubuntu1.1 to maverick-proposed for consideration.

Addendum for the path issue:

Monkey Studio currently does not update the "Destination" path to ~/Documents/Monkey Studio/Projects/<ProjectName>, but leaves it at ~/Documents/Monkey Studio/Projects/. Thus, when testing, please do this:
1. Start Monkey Studio
2. Click "Project" → "New Project"
3. Select a Project (like QMake Qt Console), put "TestX" (with X a number ;)) into the "Destination" path after ".../Projects" and click "Create"
4. Segfault (because it try to highlight the source via qscintilla)
