Bug Description
Binary package hint: scanbuttond
Hello,
I've been trying to make scanbuttond work with my HP ScanJet 4500 scanner. The latest version from CVS does not support this device, but it seems to work well with hp5590 backend. The only thing necessary is to add the corresponding VID and PID to backends/hp5590.c.
I've created the corresponding patch and tried to contact the author of scanbuttond, but I don't know how much time it will take for him to process my request and add the patch. So I propose the patch to be added to the Ubuntu version of scanbuttond package. This patch is definitely absent inside the last CVS version of scanbuttond, so I suppose it won't break anything.
Please find the patch attached and let me know if it was useful.
