I'm running KMail 1.9.5 on Kubuntu Feisty, but I may have been running Edgy at
the time.

I am going to close this report for 2 reasons, 1) I cannot reproduce, and 2) it seems you may have indicated you don't have the problem now, but had it when using a previous version. If this is not the case and it is still an issue, I urge you to reopen this report. Thanks you.

I just sorted 11,000+ emails from bug reports by date without any issues. I constantly sort by date received
