Bug Description
I use adept updater, (it downloads > 600 MB every time I run it, but that's another bug...) and it stops immediately when trying to unpack the new C-library. I can not copy and paste the error text because the dialog box telling theres an error does not give away the focus (bug #2). It is s/th like " there's already a C lib".
I can not decide if this is a bug in the libc packaging, or in adept updater, or in a tool that adept uses (apt or the like).
Bug #3: Red text here in this box, but some words are shown black.
Further, some packages need user input when beeing installed, making adept run forever until you click "show details" and provide the info requested. Many newbies simply kill a program that seems to hang.
Bug #5: when you select "dont know" at the bug report web page but theres text in the package name text field, the report cant be sent.
The exact error message was (re-translated to english):
Preparing to replace libc6 2.4-1ubuntu10 (with .../libc6_ 2.4-1ubuntu12_ i386.deb) ... libpthread. so.20 /lib/ld-linux.so.2
Matching libraries: /usr/lib/
A copy of glibc was found in an unexpected directory.
It is not safe to upgrade the C library in this situation;
please remove that copy of the library and try again.
