After discussion with Leonard and Francis on IRC, here's the plan:

* Get pitti and kees to make a decision on python-keyring, and update bug 686257
* If python-keyring 0.5 is blessed by them, reassign the bug to me and milestone it to alpha3
* I'll get updated packages of both python-keyring and python-launchpadlib up and ready for sponsorship

Hey, I'm probably going to ask you to upgrade to version 1.9.7 in a couple hours. (See https://code.launchpad.net/~leonardr/launchpadlib/silently-replace-edge-with-production/+merge/49794). Is it worth doing it in two steps, or do you want to do it all at once?

And I'm now at the point where I officially ask you to upgrade to 1.9.7.

And here's a branch that makes some changes I'd like to see put into Maverick:

Well, I guess the question is, will 1.9.7 be the last one for a while? Because I have to coordinate through Debian and it's a lot of work, I'd rather do one big upgrade to whatever version you want in Natty than lots of little ones.

It's not a big problem Debian side, now that Squeeze is released. I think major upgrade issues could be related to Natty Feature Freeze, so if we can define a stable version to stick with, that would be awesome.

1.9.7 should be the last one for a while--it and 1.9.6 were responses to the same emergency flareup. How about we wait a couple days and then do 1.9.7?
