Bug Description

Binary package hint: gcc-3.3

Currently we ship a lib32stdc++6 package to provide a 32-bit libstdc++ on 64-bit systems.

However, we don't do the same for libstdc++5.

Please generate a lib32stdc++5 package and upload it to the backports repository for 10.04 LTS (lucid), as well as universe archive for maverick and natty.

nobody did volunteer to work on it, so maybe just include it in ia32-libs

Re-opening as lib32stdc++5 should be converted for multiarch:
