Thanks for the report, but more information is needed to track down this bug.

Which release are you using? edgy (6.10)? Also, how do you know scim-pinyin causes this issue? Did the problem go away if you remove scim-pinyin package?

Oh, now I see that this bug is assigned to scim-pinyin by bug triagers. I still need to know what release the reporter is using though. Also, it would be nice if the reporter can try removing scim, scim-pinyin, scim-tables-zh to see if the problem disappears.

The release I am referring to is Edgy.

I found the problem when I first setting up the SCIM-Chinese.

To confirm, I reinstall Ubuntu Edgy and try CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE with a fresh installation.

After that I install Language Support for Chinese again, and restarted straight after. The problem reoccurs.

Sorry that I have specify SCIM in the title, I've just realize that Language Support does not necessary means SCIM.

I've tried reinstalling the components you've mentioned though, and I restart X after I remove each component. The problem still remain.

Thanks for the follow-up. As this doesn't seem to be directly related to scim, I am punting this bug to language-support-zh. Hope some Chinese testers can help reproducing this bug.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
