Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-sound
This has happened for the past week or two. After a fresh reboot, the "mute" item in the sound indicator's menu works fine. After a certain time, it becomes greyed out (inactive), and it is not possible to mute the sound anymore.

Hmm, this sounds like Pulse is dying and not restarting properly. I did notice something similar at a time in this cycle when there was alot of work going on in dbusmenu (the library responsible for that button) but not for a few weeks now.
Could you confirm the bug by:
1. When the menu is working as expected, open a terminal and type ' pulseaudio --k'
2. Check the menu to see if the bug is visible.
