Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
in gnome's menu and update notifier's popup the
update-manager is called with user's privileges and not with gksudo, so don't install updated packages.
(update-manager 0.45 - language italian - edgy upgraded from dapper]
You should get a password prompt if you click on install. Is this the case?
If so, all would work fine. Why should you need system administrative rights to see the list of available updates?
I reject this, since it is a feature and not a bug. Feel free to comment on this and to reopen the bug.
