11.04 Beta Candidate image on a Dell XPS 420 doesn't display anything

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Booting ISO from HD with grub. Tries to boot. Gets to pulseaudio failing and flashes that screen once and goes to black. Box freezes tight. Have to unplug to get out.

Ubiquity is the installater application for Ubuntu and it sounds like you didn't even get to the point of running it. From what you've described it sounds to me like this may be a bug in your video driver. How did you determine that the system was frozen? Did you try pressing the Caps Lock key to see if the indicator light changed? Did you try switching to a virtual terminal? It would also help to know the exact video card that you have. You can determine this using the command 'lspic -vvnn'. Thanks in advance.
