Bug Description
Hardware: IBM Thinkpad X30 with Linksys WPC11 version 3 wireless PCMCIA.
Anytime I try to upload files (using any protocol, FTP, NFS, Samba) to a remote computer, Edgy crashes hopelessly requiring me to hard-reset my computer. This is a stock install of i386 Edgy with all the latest upgrades. Since this did not happen in Dapper and I can upload just fine using the built-in ethernet card, I'm assuming the wireless card driver for the WPC11 is the problem.

Some additions to this bug report:
My laptop also freezes during file downloads via VPN connections using network- manager- pptp (it worked fine for the first two or three files and froze on the third). Once it froze during a VPN connection while loading 4 or 5 firefox tabs.
Sometimes, but not always, the laptop freezes when starting a torrent download (so far it froze only once during a torrent download).
It also freezes only when accessing one of my FTP servers running Dapper or Edgy (one on my local network, the other at my parents' house). Accessing a different FTP server does not seem to cause any problems (although I don't use other FTP servers often enough to be confident about this assertion). And not only file uploads, but also file downloads (on my FTP servers at least) brings about the freeze.
