Bug Description

Since GTK3 is default in ubuntu and we want to drop GTK2 from the CD by the next LTS, libubuntuone should be switched to GTK3

You can find migration instructions on http://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/3.1/gtk-migrating-2-to-3.html

Note also that rhythmbox in oneiric is using GTK3 so you need a GTK3 version for it

Thanks for reporting this issue but this seems more like a feature request versus an actual bug.... I think this belongs as Wishlist.

it's not a wishlist, we don't want to ship 2 versions of GTK on the Ubuntu CD

Kate, this is a bug we'll target for 12.04, but isn't going to change for 11.10 as we have to support banshee which is still GTK+ 2 as well for now.

  * New upstream release.
    - Build against webkitgtk 3.0 (LP: #801182)
    - Change the API version to 3.0 to reflect the new gtk 3.0 support
    - Move the existing libubuntuone code to libubuntuoneui in preparation
      for libubuntuone containing non-gui code.
  * debian/control, debian/rules, debian/*.install:
    - Update for the API version change and ui split naming
    - Bump Standards-Version
  * debian/watch:
    - Update for the new version number.
