I think this crash started with the update to 3.1.2, it crashes consistently when trying to open the calendar.

according to the upstream developers this is fixed at http://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution/commit/?id=46eec90c098d5b239035568ae5c25ae9127a8373 ; which is the master branch (3.1.3+)
