Bug Description

Looking at Empathy's chat history (protocol, don't know the english menu name for it) reveals that instead of the friends' names, their numeric ID is shown - unreadable, unusable - does anybody test features like this? ;-)

I have tested this under Ubuntu Oneiric with empathy 3.1 and I am able to confirm this problem. by the way, I have sent this issue to upstream tracker so you can track and follow the status of this issue at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=654419
